General Canning Information
- There are 32 quarts in a bushel.
- When preserving food, don't forget about freezing instead of canning. Some things that we freeze are tomatoes, carrots, corn, Brussels Sprouts, broccoli, beets, squash, and berries. Different foods must be prepared in various ways. So, do some research before freezing foods.
- When canning, never re-use the lids. The jars and rings can be used over and over.
